I liked your analysis about the critical issue of "fear" being a (the) source of political behaviours of the past and present, both negative and positive. Indonesians have been living in "fear" for so long, that sometimes even often "keberanian" may be just another form of "ketakutan". The powerful institutions, i.e. religious, political and even adat, all have taken part in inventing and maintaining the fear amongst the people. But who is (was) not in fear? FEAR seems to be the ideological foundation of the state, maybe it should replace the PANCASILA.</description>
